BAILEY

Yesterday was a sad day in the Morrison/Carrillo households when my sister had to have her 4 year old dog, Bailey, put to sleep. It was completely unexpected. Bailey loved to eat things she shouldn't, even with the constant vigilance of my sister's family, she still managed to sneak things every once in a while. Saturday night, she began vomiting. Beth took her to the vet for a 9:30 appointment Monday morning. By 11:00 she was gone. She had an intestinal blockage that would have been difficult to remove. The vet felt that even if he did go in surgically, on the slim chance they could remove it successfully, the intestines had suffered damage and the chances of her healing were slim to none. They made the most difficult decision and had their young, loving, vivacious, playful girl put to sleep. Bailey had, last week, graduated from her 8 week training course and was to begin rally courses. This is Beth and Bailey mid-way through the training course. My heart goes out to my sister and her family. We will miss her antics, whole-body tail wags, face licking, trips to Starbucks, and warm-sit-on-your-feet greetings.

Beth, my heart goes out to you. Bailey was a special girl and I loved working with you and her. i will really miss her. Brynda, Micah, Storm and Temperance all send warm wet kisses and soft tail wags. Storm especially says that she knows Bailey is smiling at you from the Bridge.

That is so sad. I feel for them. Gingee has the same problem with eating things that she should not. We are vigilent but you just can't wait every minute of the day or control every thing they do or have every thing put away in every situation and place. I know that we may have to face the same decision one day. Please pass along my sympathies.

Thank you Jamie. That was so heartfelt and kind. The house is terribly quiet and the energy has changed drastically. We have been so sad without her full body wagging and sillyness.
