PHOTO FOR THE DAY
This week we met some new friends at the dog park. The girls now spend their time at the park running the fence with 6 different dogs, who tag team to keep the girls busy. As a result they are currently passed out throughout the house. Not even a head raise or tail twitch when I enter the room. The call of 'snackie' only brought a slight stirring of interest, rather than the typical stampede. Hmmm, I could get used to this.

PHOTO FOR THE DAY
I'm just curious to see if I can come even remotely close to posting a photo a day. Though from what I understand, that sort of regularity usually comes with an external aid.
Drusilla has been making her sprints right past me lately. I frequently get beaned in the head by flying rocks as she kicks up dirt on the sprint. This one was no different.

SPRINTING
My girls have missed play date for the past week due to some traveling from me. Though they were again at their favorite dog resort, owned and operated by incredible friends, vacationing with their 3 dogs, they still missed play date as was evident in the sprinting done today. Dru was all over the paddock.
RED RUBBER BALL
We had a small group of only 6 at play date today. There were some pretty good sprints, but for the most part the dogs waded through the belly-high weeds (as mentioned before we had a really wet winter). It had all the makings of an African safari documentary - "the greyhounds, among the fastest of the land mammals, reaching speeds of 45 MPH in 3 strides, disappear in the undergrowth, stalking their prey, a defenseless and unsuspecting red squeaky ball." Molly, in particular, has an obsession with the red ball. We have the same ball in yellow and she just turns her considerable nose up at it.

SNOW DOGS
This morning's holiday festivities consisted of taking the girls to playdate. So... not much different than any other weekend morning. A grand time was had by all today, dogs and humans. Though us humans confirmed the start time needs to be bumped up since it is too hot by 8 AM for the dogs to do much running. In fact, there was far more laying about than sprinting. Well at least by my 3. After 15 minutes, they were so tired you would have thought they just completed the Iditarod. Now that would be a sight. Greyhounds pulling a sled. Almost as out of place as the lion in the Easter Bunny ears. Bwock, bwock.

RUNNING - CRAZY DOG STYLE
Lots of running yesterday from the pack. We started a bit earlier to already adjust for the heat. Spring has arrived to Tucson with hints of Summer not so subtly presenting themselves.
